2010 Aston Martin Cygnet Reviews And Photos

This is an Aston Martin’s new premium mini car, the Toyota iQ-based Cygnet. The British supercar maker had previewed the Cygnet earlier this year with a clay-covered prototype, but these are the first official photos of the production-ready concept model. Most of you will know that owning an Aston Martin is something that we can only dream about. Well we recently learned that Aston Martin wants to develop a more affordable car by offering us a smaller alternative. The new car in question is the Aston Martin Cygnet, which we know is based on the Toyota iQ.

Aston Martin chose not to release any information on the car’s hardware, but it is believed that the iQ’s 1.33-liter petrol engine will be carried over to the Cygnet. ston Martin said that it will continue to develop the Cygnet, but expects to have the car into production and on sale in the UK and Europe before the end of 2010.

The interior of the Cygnet is a spiced-up version of the iQ’s; there is leather and beautiful stitching everywhere, the instrument graphics are altered, and the iPod touch prominently featured on the dashboard hints that Cygnet drivers probably have many things in mind which are more important than serious motoring.

The interior shot also betrays the transmission used: Toyota’s Multidrive box, a continuously variable transmission which is just perfect for buzzing around town in a Japanese minicar. Mark it down as another first for Aston.

Hello everyone , Aston Martin is a name that needs little introduction. It has always stood for fine, civilized high performance sports cars, designed and produced by skilled craftsmen. There is a special place in the market and in the hearts of owners for classic sports cars which conform to this ideal. These are cars which bring to life the freedom and enjoyment of the open road.
