Designed by Montreal student Amadou Ndiaye, the Lamborghini Toro LA690-4 was envisioned as a modern reinvention of the Lamborghini Espada from the late 1960’s. It also bears resemblance to the sharp, jet-fighter-inspired lines of the Reventon. The designer envisions drawing power from a front-mounted V12, which can be seen underneath the window panel on the hood. Keeping things light, the Toro uses heaps of carbon fiber and magnesium with an intended weight of around 3,300 lbs. (more…)
The Lagonda Concept is an avant-garde approach to the crossover we’ve come to know in seemingly thousands of variations. The front grille and swage lines are an obvious nod to modern Astons, but its near vertical nose, stretched headlamps and bulbous backside attempts to convey a mix of luxury and masculinity. The rear end strikes us as very Bentley, but considering the Lagonda’s intended audience, that might not be a bad thing. All four 22-inch wheels are powered by a V12 powerplant of undisclosed displacement and output, and Aston envisions the Lagonda as a long-distance cruiser that offers its occupants a lavish, functional and tech-rich environment. Honda showed a concept car called the Personal-New Urban Transport or P-NUT In the Los Angeles Auto Show which opened to the public today. Volvo with the glass manufacturers from Sweden, Orrefors, will install the newest products of Volvo S60 with center console-based hand made crystal. The design of the center console is formed as the flow of water that links the instrument panel to the rear seat. (more…)
