Leicester House by SPG Architects in in Asheville, North Carolina
Leicester House was designed by SPG Architects, situated on the edge of a wooded hill in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rear glass wall, facing West and South, open to rolling farmland below and the mountains beyond. The entry level serves as main living room, with guest wings carved into the top of the hill on the lower level. Functionality and energy efficiency programs achieved either by zoning and careful choice of materials, fixtures, fittings, and energy.
