Mazda Kiyora Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show

Mazda Motor Corporation will show Kiyora concept car, the symbol of the future generation Mazda at the Tokyo Motor Show from October 24 to November 4 , 2009, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
Mazda Kiyora is a compact car concept that uses a combination of 1.3-liter gasoline engine that is labeled SKY-G and 6-speed automatic transmsision labeled SKY-Drive. According to the car manufacturer based in Hiroshima, with a combination of these technologies, fuel consumption of Kiyora is 32 km / liter.



Mazda Kiyora is a redefinition of the small coupe and is dedicated to embody the same fun-to-drive nature as every other Mazda vehicle, combined with innovative ideas that minimize its impact on the environment. This concept is the translation of Mazda’s Sustainable Zoom-Zoom philosophy into a lifestyle vehicle for progressive urbanites.

Mazda’s next-generation 1.3-litre DISI* petrol engine is an evolution of technologies used for the 2.3-liter DISI petrol engine that currently powers Mazda’s sports crossover SUV, the CX-7. Improved direct- injection technology and newly designed combustion chambers enable more precise ignition control.
