The house was designed by Gary Gladwish Architecture, located on Orcas Island in Washington State. The house is situated on a hillside filled with madrone trees, firs, beech, thistle, moss and rocks with beautiful views to the west. The house makes use of several materials: old barn wood, steel to rust, moss and stone. Large sliding doors open the house to go for the broad view, creating a living room in the forest.
