Peter Mokaba Stadium in polokwane, Limpopo
Peter Mokaba Stadium is situated in Polokwane, approximately five miles from downtown. The stadium with a capacity of 45 000 spectators were right next to the old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Concrete construction design inspired by a tree that became the icon of the city, Baobab Tree with a steel structure rivet roof stadium. At each corner of the stadium on hold by the structure that resembles a giant tree trunk that accommodates the vertical circulation of sloping road stadium. Name of Peter Mokaba is taken to commemorate the struggle of one important figure in South African history. Mokaba known for his fighting spirit in opposing the apartheid regime and its leadership which has inspired many people.
